You may be wondering what in the world is a health coach? We as human beings have to be taught how to walk, talk, read, write, drive, etc, but, no one ever teaches us what and how to eat. The food industry and mass media make healthy eating more confusing. One day we are told to eat whole grains and the next day everyone is on the Atkins Diet or advocating to go Paleo. 

We are biraged with endless amounts of contradictory information and research telling us what to eat and how to exercise. We may be given the Standard American Diet (SAD) food pyramid but in the check out line of the grocery store see magazines featuring The 8 Hour Diet (remember that one?), juice cleanses, The All Day Fat Burning Diet. The American Cancer Society recommends processed meat for a healthy meal when these same processed meats are known to cause cancer! And, don't even get me started on the endless amounts of "healthy" protein bars with an ingredient list suspiciously close to that of a Snickers bar. No wonder we are confused and running around physically, emotionally, and financially drained.  

This is where I come in. I am an Integrative Nutrition Certified Health Coach. My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins, but to focus on eating REAL FOOD and to look at how all areas of your life are interconnected. It is never just about the food. I offer a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan that will radically improve your health. Together, we will address your concerns and create a toolkit to  reach your optimal weight, reduce sugar cravings, improve sleep, maximize energy, or whatever your concerns may be. As we work together, you will develop a  better understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you.
